Weekly Announcements - Week of October 19th

Remote Learning

*Parents, as a reminder, you are not allowed to participate in direct instruction, via WebEx. This includes being on the camera and/or making comments in the chat box. If you have questions, please contact your child’s teacher. 



*Parents, we will be closely monitoring attendance of our remote and traditional learners based upon the survey feedback. Parents, if you selected for your child to be a traditional learner and the student is not coming to school, it will be marked as an unexcused absence. Also parents, if you selected for your child to be a remote learner and he/she is not logging in, they will be marked as an unexcused absence. We will begin monitoring for truancy for unexcused absences. If you have a question regarding attendance, please contact our main office. 


HMS Learning Schedule for the Week of October 19th-23rd

All HMS Learners (A-Z)  will participate on a 5 day learning schedule. Traditional students (A-Z) will report to campus using a 5 day traditional school schedule.  Remote learners (A-Z) will participate 5 days using the remote learning schedule. Only the students whose parents chose traditional learning will report to campus. Only the students whose parents chose remote learning will participate remotely. All learners (A-Z) whether remote or traditional will participate using the 5 day schedule. 

HMS 5 Day Learning Schedule (Traditional & Remote)

*Students will enter the building on the 8th Grade Hallway. Students are expected to wear face masks and adhere to social distancing. Bus and car riders will drop off students using the bus lanes and carlines. The new main front entrance is not a morning drop off location or an afternoon pick-up location. Students will not have access to lockers or water fountains. Students will be allowed to bring bottled water and carry bookbags. We are requesting students bring their devices along with charging cords. Cellphones are not permissible devices. 

Parents, school will begin @ 7:55AM. All checkouts must be completed by 2:30PM daily.


 Student Dress Code

*Jeans with open holes above the knee are not allowed

*No halter-tops, spaghetti strap tops. Midriff tops, or overly revealing shirts

*Leggings and jeggins are allowed only if you have appropriate clothing over them that meet the dress code policy

*Skirts and dresses must be no shorter than 4 inches above the knee

Student Announcements

*Bus 15-24 will resume its normal bus schedule beginning Monday, October 19th. 

*Any student interested in participating in the 2020-2021 Math team, please join the Google Classroom using the Class Code  a4hona2. The last day to sign up is October 23rd. See Coach Smith if you have any questions.

  • HMS Football Banquet @ 5PM, HMS Cafe. See Coach Montefusco or Ms. Powell if you have any questions.

Friday, October 23rd

  • Teacher Workday, No students will report to campus or remotely.
